Online Yoga at Home Weekend

Description

The Yoga at Home Retreat gives you the foundation to establish a strong and lasting Yoga practice at home. Following the 5 Points of Yoga, learn and practice the basic Sivananda Yoga sequence, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, helpful guidance on yogic dietary principles, meditation, and mantra chanting. Special emphasis is given on how to sustain your Yoga practice home, creating your sacred practice space, and addressing common obstacles that all Yoga practitioners face in daily life, making this course ideal for beginners and advanced students alike.

Curriculum

– Step by step guide to the basic 12 postures, explanation of benefits of the postures
– Guidance to create and maintain a strong Yoga practice at home
– Basic Yoga philosophy about happiness, health, life, freedom
– Yogic techniques of breathing
– Vegetarianism-the how and why
– Relaxation and stress management techniques
– Basic technique of meditation
– Practical tips for creating routine in daily life

Schedule

All times are pacific time-zone

Classes meet Saturday – Sunday
@ 8 – 10 am (Beginner Yoga Class) & 1 – 2:30 pm (5 Points of Yoga for Holistic Lifestyle)

We will meet on Friday at 7pm Pacific Time for an orientation to the course

Pre-requisite

There are no prerequisites other than a sincere desire to learn classical yoga.
