Ayurveda Cooking and Diet Weekend

with Sivakami Chaitanya

September 23 - 25, 2022

Ayurveda has been preserved and practiced for thousands of years in India. By applying ancient Ayurvedic principles and choosing the best ingredients, you will be able to balance your body and mind through your diet. Ayurvedic eating is about eating foods and spices that help you to BALANCE. When people ask me to describe the Ayurvedic diet, I can only sum it up in two words: ๏ธBALANCE and PURE. Balance within yourself, balance through the day and seasons. Pure chemically and energetically. Instead of seeing food as something apart from us, Ayurveda sees food as gifts of Mother Nature to nourish us – her children.

Food are combination of the five elements of nature: ๐ŸŒซ space, ๐ŸŒช air, ๐Ÿ”ฅ fire, ๐Ÿ’ฆ water, ๐ŸŒณ earth. These elements and the quality of food interact with the same elements and qualities in our bodies, minds, and physiology. Instead of just eating with your mouth, eat with all your senses: ๐Ÿ‘ƒ nose smell, ๐Ÿ‘ eye see, ๐Ÿ‘‚ ear hear, ๐Ÿ– hand touch, ๐Ÿ‘„ mouth taste. Eating with your mind completely present, full of appreciation like this will make you feel satisfied because you get all that Mother Nature wants to give you through food. This is where the healing journey begins. Join us this weekend to get to know yourself better, build proper connections with food, with nature.

Get to know your agni, the digestive fire and the ways to take care of it. You can start a journey to healing, health and joy through food today!
