Permaculture Weekend: Yoga of Permaculture

with Colin Eldridge (Krishna Das)

October 26 - 28, 2018

Description

“Yoga is Permaculture and Permaculture is Yoga Life. Tune to the divinity in Mother Nature and be able to follow her direction daily as a sadhana… This is  the formula to  attain to the state of ‘”permanent culture ” or residing and attainment in yoga and permanently being in blissful union with the divine mother.” —Swami Sitaramananda

Permaculture can be understood as ecological regenerative design for the outer world, where as Yoga is like regenerative design for your “inner landscape”. Both practices give you the tools to bring more balance and harmony in your life and in the world.

This course will cover how Yoga and Permaculture practices can support each other in a symbiotic way through the ethics and principles of both. Human relationships with nature will be examined through a Vedic lens, looking at the history of yogic, ayurvedic, and ecological practices in ancient India, as well as the relationship with Divine Mother as union with Mother Nature. Participants will gain practical tools that they can apply in their daily lives to rekindle and strengthen their connection and understanding of nature and the divine.
