Erik Phillips-Nania
Erik Phillips-Nania is author of Climate Change Yoga, about how the practice of yoga, especially group meditations, is essential for healing and revitalizing the Earth.
Erik realized the importance of global climate change at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2003. He then went on to earn a degree in Environmental Policy, summa cum laude, in 2007. During this time, Erik started practicing extended vipassana (mindfulness) meditations. He then began living outside full-time, even as a practicing attorney in Vermont.
Erik developed expertise with spiritual nutrition, spiritual fasting, and the yoga of rock climbing. Erik took his 200-hour yoga teacher training at Stone Wave, in New York, in 2020. Erik is continuing his research and practices of yoga while working the Minnewaska Lodge in Gardiner, NY, where he will be offering workshops and trainings on Climate Yoga.
