The Yoga Farm has served myself and my family members in the past and helped us to improve our quality of life and health, for which we are grateful.

Capacity

The Yoga Farm has existed peacefully for 48 years in this location and deserves an expansion of its capacity. We support the request of the Yoga Farm to increase in capacity and to include other parcels in the conditional use permit. The ashram has 6 parcels (totaling 80 acres) but the YF is now permitted to use only 40 acres. We believe that the density of the population in this AG zone can be increased for these reasons 48 years of existence, organized and peaceful activities.

Peaceful Existence and Community

The Yoga Farm is a disciplined place. The mandatory schedule of meditation and yoga classes guarantees a use of the property which is not disturbing to the neighborhood. The Yoga Farm is respectful towards our neighbors . The YF belongs to the community. We are grateful that such a community and organization exists.

Road, safety, and a vision of a bright, beautiful future of the Yoga Farm

Due to California fire concerns, we need to unite to help to protect and expand the Yoga Farm services. Please request to see the Master plan of the Yoga Farm for upcoming 12 years (2020-2032). Imminently, the Ballantree Lane road access to the Yoga Farm needs to be brought to standard for fire exit reasons . We also need to create a fire regress road connecting to a neighboring road. Your extraordinary contribution for an extraordinary cause at this point in time is very necessary. Let's gather all our merits of years of dharmic living and invest in the Yoga Farm venture.

A call to action due to global warming - unite for a healthy and peaceful planet:

The Yoga Farm invites all to join 100,000 voices from the international SYVC to pray for a healthy and peaceful planet. The special mantra for peace as given by Swami Vishnudevananda "Om Namo Narayanaya" will be chanted in all SYVC centers and ashrams on the 1st Sunday of every month for 30 minutes. Contribution

Yoga is universally acknowledged as a healing modality for body, mind and spirit, supporting the health system, helping in prevention of diseases as well as increasing health, therefore I support the expansion of facilities such as the Yoga Farm. I have learned from the Yoga Farm universal values, I believe these values will help to create a better society at large and a better country. Therefore, I support the Yoga Farm. The Yoga Farm does training in classical Yoga and healthy lifestyle, teaches proper exercise, breathing, relaxation, diet, positive thinking and meditation. The Yoga Farm has brought attention to Nevada County by attracting people from out of town, state, and regularly brings international guests, thus increasing activity and stimulating the economy of the area. This effort needs to be supported. The Yoga Farm cares for the environment. I support the Yoga Farm’s ecological endeavors.

Selflessness

The Yoga Farm is a non-profit charitable organization 501(c) 3, entirely run by volunteers, and needs to be supported. The YF depends on the donations of its members and the efforts of its volunteers.
