Online Easter Weekend Retreat: Art, Music and Creativity

with Swami Sivasankariananda, Hasu Patel, Pieter Weltevrede, Swami Jnaneswariananda, Swami Dharmananda, Swami Vashistananda and Ram Vakkalanka

Connect to your soul’s innate creativity by learning from inspiring artists and yogis. Join us for this special Easter Program as renowned artists share their sacred craft, their divine inspiration, and their creative process as spiritual expression. Creativity is a natural expression of spiritual health. Join us for Yantra Painting workshops to focus and uplift the mind and connect to the heart; a sacred art presentation from world-renowned painter Pieter Weltevrede; learn how to make the creative process part of your daily sadhana with sitar master Hasu Patel; and enjoy the divinely inspired melodies of sitar master Ram Vakkalanka.

Friday

  • 7:30pm – Satsang – Introduction “Art, Music and Creativity”

Saturday

  • 6am         – Satsang: Viewing Sacred Art Presentation of Pieter Weltevrede
  • 8am         – Asana and Pranayama Class
  • 12-4pm   – Yantra Painting Workshop with Swami Sivasankariananda
  • 4pm         – Asana and Pranayama class
  • 7:30pm   – Satsang – Ram Vakkalanka Sitar Concert

Sunday

  • 6am         – Satsang: – Creative Process with Hasu Patel
  • 8am         – Asana and Pranayama Class
  • 12pm       – Music and Voice Workshop with Hasu Patel
  • 4pm         – Asana and Pranayama Class
  • 7:30pm   – Satsang – SUNDAY PRAYERS

 

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED FOR YANTRA PAINTING:
Paper at least 12 x 12″ (ideally cold press watercolor paper)
Pencil
Eraser
Compass (essential to draw circles!)
Straight edge with metric measurements
Paints (gouache is ideal) or colored pencils
