with Swami Dharmananda

June 15 - 18, 2023

Description

Yoga Health Series
The Yoga Health Education series at the Yoga Farm helps you to develop insights and tools in your Self-Healing journey. Learn how make healthy and positive changes in your lifestyle and outlook using the time-tested techniques of Classical Yoga, which includes meditation, pranayama, asanas , mantras, kirtan, Self-enquiry practices, being in Nature and positive company. You deserve to live the life you love to the fullest. You are very important to yourself.

Understanding Depression
We invite you to come to understand the five facets and layers  and manifestation of depression. Workshops are led by an experienced Sivananda Yoga Health Educator (C-IAYT) who will guide you with physical and mental health tips to understand emotional regulation, negative thought patterns and depression. You will  come out of these 3 days spent at the Yoga Farm equipped with tools to manage your mind and recharge yourself , infused  with new enthusiasm about life.

Body Mind Spirit
Erratic emotions, negative emotions, and depression cannot be addressed with just with one thing such as a sleeping pill, time off to rest, a favorite desert. It is an overall issue that involves all aspects of the individual: how you take care of yourself, your Self-awareness, relationships and emotional support system, unattainable expectations, your daily habits of eating, sleeping and thinking, and your overall philosophy about Self and life’s purpose.

Classical Yoga techniques are holistic and seek to balance and integrate our understanding of Self through body, mind, spirit– leading to the positive, vital and inspired life that we seek to express.
