Online – Transcending Trauma: a Yoga and Neuroscience Approach
with Lila Lolling
March 6 - 27, 2025
Description
This 4-week series uncovers how the nervous system and trauma informs your relationships, habits, and lifestyle choices. By weaving neurosomatic tools with yoga wisdoms and practices, you learn how to transform trauma and regulate your nervous system in the moment. When your nervous system is overstimulated, overwhelmed, or exhausted, you lose the energy and focus needed to implement positive lifestyle changes. Your prana gets depleted, taking your will power with it. Without will power, implementing lasting change is nearly impossible.

When your nervous system is overstimulated, overwhelmed, or exhausted, you lose the energy and focus needed to implement positive lifestyle changes. Classical yogic wisdoms offer a holistic and systematic approach to healing trauma through breathwork, meditation, devotion, movement, mantra, and more. These ancient practices help you release deep-seated impressions (samskaras) and subtle desires. When you regulate your nervous system and rewire neuro-pathways, you successfully create your optimal lifestyle mindset.
Classical yoga sees trauma in a deeply holistic way—integrating your mind, body, and spirit into the healing process. Unlike modern psychology or neuroscience which focus on trauma as a psychological or neurological condition, classical yoga views trauma as an evolutionary stage of spiritual development. Modern science has proven that classical yoga doesn’t just help us cope with trauma—it transforms it.
