The teachings in this manual are inspired and guided by Master Sivananda’s book Thought Power, which we recommend you read and keep as a friend in your pocket or purse, to be used at all times—when you are waiting for a bus … or when some uneasy feeling assails you. The subtitle of the book is “Right methods for handling and manipulating thoughts for the best benefit of Man.” When you can handle and manipulate something, it means you can change it and have control over it. Many of these teachings have been updated in the book Essentials of Yoga Practice and Philosophy available from Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm.
