Yoga Wellness Retreat as Lifestyle Medicine
“Allow nature to heal you… The sun and the open air are your good doctors… The first wealth is health.”
Are you ready to address a nagging health issue that you have been ignoring?
It could be some pain, an imbalance in your digestion, difficulty sleeping or even a negative thought pattern you tend to repeat.
Are you longing to simply feel better?
More and more, lifestyle medicine is being recognized by science as a beneficial intervention for healing. Classical Yoga offers more tools than you may be aware of, which address imbalances at all levels of your being. It’s easy to practice, low cost, and open to all. Be welcomed into the gentle, nourishing atmosphere of the Ashram with guidance from our dedicated teachers.
This workshop centers your motivations and supports your peace of mind every step of the way.
Swami Sivananda—whose 200 books form the foundation of our teachings—was a medical doctor, a Himalayan sage and a humanitarian. Swami Vishnudevananda carried his master’s love of healing to the western world in the 1950s and taught this practical science of yoga and lifestyle medicine for 60 years.
Follow our daily schedule, established by Swami Sivananda, which follows the rhythm of nature. Benefit from a balanced routine—based on the sister healing sciences, Yoga and Ayurveda—which includes
- time in silence
- time in nature,
- healthy food
- sharing of practical wisdom
You will be guided to strengthen, stretch and energize your body, massaging the internal organs. You’ll be instructed in breathing exercises to regulate the flow of vital energy, as well as calm your emotions. By concentrating your mind, you relax the spirit. That inner connection is the spark of healing.
Participants report they feel more aware, more vibrant and more committed to adopting a daily routine of healthy practices after attending this retreat.
Regain confidence in the healing power of your own conscious awareness and mental positivity.
Each day begins and ends with Satsang; where we come together for relaxing guided meditations, inspirational chanting and informative talks on the many levels of health.
All meals are deliciously vegetarian and freshly prepared onsite with love and care.
This retreat is a commitment to yourself to prioritize self-care. We hope you are able to join us.
What people are saying
“After spending five days at the Yoga Farm, I feel refreshed. At times, I find myself smiling for no reason. I arrived full of work stress. I didn’t recognize myself any more. When I returned home, my husband said he could feel that I was myself again. Now he wants to go and experience it for himself.”
