Our Beginners Yoga Courses are ideal for newcomers to Yoga or more seasoned practitioners who want to learn more about Sivananda Yoga. This course gives you the full yoga immersion, progressively introducing:
You will be immersed in the daily routine of yoga and will experience wholesome vegetarian meals, leaving rested, refreshed and recharged.
Yoga at Home
You will gain basic knowledge of how to continue to practice yoga at home. You will begin to develop a lifestyle conducive to physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being.

Came here for the beginners yoga weekend with my mom and had a great time! This place is a magical getaway from the stress of everyday life. I don’t have a lot experience with yoga besides the occasional class at my local 24 hour fitness so this proved to be a very immersive experience. There’s a lot of focus on proper breathing, meditation as well as basic yoga. The class leads, Anandamayi and Radhakrishna Dasa, were extremely helpful, funny and answered any questions that we had. As I mentioned earlier there is a heavy focus on meditation and sitting cross-legged in silence for 30 minutes can be quite challenging for some with little experience such as myself. All I can tell you is to brave through it and take it 5 minutes at a time, it feels sooo good to quiet the mind and just let go of the daily stress. I felt 1000x better the next week at work than I usually do even after the most relaxing weekend. The yoga itself wasn’t as challenging as I anticipated but that was nice. The classes are small and intimate so if you’re not doing something properly the instructor can adjust you.
I am not a vegetarian and I thought the food was good. Not anything amazing but I was satisfied with every meal. You are woken up at 5:30 every morning (2x) for meditation at 6am but its well worth it. There is also 1 hour of “karma” yoga after brunch everyday but for us that was simply some weeding in their garden. It was a great break in the day and the 2 dogs running around were quite friendly.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the yoga farm. Everyone was extremely nice and it was exactly the immersive experience I needed. Looking forward to coming back here again.
Our beginners courses are taught by Sivananda Yoga Trained Staff. All of our staff are 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified and have experience teaching in our Sivanananda centers and ashrams.
